Quality Care

Woodworth Health Care operates several long-term care facilities and is family owned by Don and Pat Woodworth of Parsons, Kansas. Their desire is to provide quality care for the elderly in Parsons and many communities adjacent to Labette County. Below is a brief description of each facility however please click on the “more info” tab for a full description.

Facilities

Elmhaven East is a 58 bed Skilled Nursing facility in Parsons Kansas.
Elmhaven West is a 50 bed Skilled Nursing facility in Parsons.
Chetopa Manor is a 38 bed Skilled Nursing facility in Chetopa, Kansas.
Woodridge Estates is an Assisted Living facility in Parsons Kansas.

State Approved

Each Woodworth facility is state approved for Medicaid and Medicare residents as well as being licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

In addition to being certified for skilled nursing, Woodworth Health Care Facilities also provides care through private duplexes, Woodridge Estates Assisted Living Residence, and Woodworth Community Services Home Health Agency.

Our Mission at Woodworth Health Care is the desire to serve others. This desire goes beyond just operating a brick and mortar facility. Our original goal is to provide a place for residents to be proud of and to receive exceptional care. This remains the core mission of our facilities today. Our perspective is that our residents don’t live in our facilities…we work in their homes. We encourage you to visit any of our facilities at your convenience. Services

At Woodworth Health Care we take pride in our facilities but we also offer services that are second to none. Below is a list for your review.

• Therapies / Restorative Services - To regain independence for our patients, our therapy department and licensed therapists are available to provide physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

• Nursing Services - Around the clock licensed nursing staff gives you peace of mind that your loved one is properly cared for. Our skilled nursing is delivered with loving care and provides such services as: IV Therapy, Ostomy care, Tracheostomy care, Post care of fractures, Wound care, Pain control and tube feedings. The staff is also able to handle complex nursing care issues and supervise residents receiving dialysis or chemotherapy. The one complex issue not cared for are ventilator patients.

• Dementia - Our staff receives on-going education on dementia and how we can allow our residents many choices that help them maintain their independence and quality of life, offering assistance at every level of care.

• Adult Day Care - Your loved one can be brought to the facility for single day services to receive supervision, meals, bath and medication administration as needed.

• Activities / Social Services - Planned with priority given to resident requests, seasonal outings, shopping trips, or dining at area restaurants are just a few of the activities we offer. Physical and mental exercises to stretch both mind and body are offered daily. Families are always invited to be involved!

• Dietary Services - Our cooks and registered dietitians plan and prepare delicious, well-balanced, home-style meals and also offer nutritious snacks. Families are always welcome to join their loved ones in our newly remodeled home-like dining rooms.
